Senior Officer

Expressions of interest are sought for the role of Senior Officer in the Incoming Government and Priorities Unit in the Victorian School Building Authority. The Victorian School Building Authority (the VSBA) is responsible for the maintenance, upgrading and monitoring of Victoria's $20 billion school asset portfolio. The VSBA is at the forefront of cutting edge school design, development and construction innovation, and delivery, supporting Victoria in becoming the Education State. The purpose of this role is to support the Incoming Government and Priorities team in the Victorian School Building Authority. The team critically analyses school infrastructure issues to deliver high quality briefing materials on behalf on the VSBA.

Position Details

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly self-motivated team player to contribute to the Victorian School Building Authority's (VSBA) Incoming Government and Priorities Unit.

This position plays a key role in contributing to the development of the VSBA's strategic agenda. The position offers a breadth of work across school infrastructure policy, including considerable exposure to key parliamentary and government processes. The team is fast-paced and key deliverables of the role include ministerial briefings and coordinating key programs and projects on behalf of the VSBA.

The successful applicant will have a combination problem solving and stakeholder management skills and will also possess strong written and verbal communication skills (see position description for full details). Being able to promote and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the VSBA and across the Department is vital to the role.

The position offers development opportunities through collaboration with other areas of the business, stakeholders, and a variety of different projects and programs within the school infrastructure space.

Knowledge and experience in the coordination of government briefing products will be highly regarded.
