The Maternal and Child Health Line provides support to Victorian families 24 hours a day.

In this position you will contribute to providing a quality, professional, twenty four hour maternal and child health telephone service to the Victorian community. You will have the opportunity to promote and support the health and wellbeing of families and young children from birth to school age, and to provide a secondary consultancy role to other service providers on matters relating to maternal and child health. You will have an eye for detail as you accurately enter information into a database to provide statistical information on caller demographics. In addition to proficiency in professional nursing practices and procedures, you will have an understanding of contemporary maternal and child health and social issues facing families. You will promote and actively link families to local maternal and child health services and other locally based support services for families, and communicate in a professional and sensitive manner, respecting confidentiality.
