Position Details
THE ROLE
The Team Leader guides and manages teams focused on planning and delivering ‘front line' housing services. A key priority is ensuring high quality client service for those seeking housing assistance or living in public housing.
This role also involves meeting organisational goals, service standards, budget targets, stakeholder expectations, and client needs. Operating in a dynamic environment, the Team Leader must understand the context, make sound decisions, achieve outcomes, and build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
The Team Leader will operate at a level consistent with the Victorian Public Service 5.1 Grade Descriptors and Value Range Standard Descriptors as set out in the Victorian Public Service Enterprise Agreement.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Lead a team of housing staff that support applicants/renters on behalf of the department, including work allocation, human resource and performance and reporting management consistent with the organisational goals and values.
- Effectively supervise and provide leadership to a team
- Manage, interpret and apply business plans and policies in own area of responsibility and provide advice to others on design and implementation issues.
