Position Details
THE ROLE
The Manager, Forensic Disability Capital and Systems will work closely with the operational management teams of Forensic Disability Services to development and manage priority projects to address service risks and gaps. The position will work across multiple business units across the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing, other relevant government departments, and service delivery partners to identify service delivery improvement initiatives. The position will manage the procurement of services in the areas of education, health, security, maintenance and client supplies. The Manager, Forensic Disability Capital and Systems will be responsible for the development of various reports, briefs and correspondence on highly complex issues that provide options for decision.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Manage and oversee the full life cycle of capital and system projects to meet departmental objectives including:
- Leading research and analysis based on defined outcomes and outputs.
- Managing and overseeing the development and delivery of project plans and being accountable for the successful delivery and completion of the projects/sub-projects within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.
- Monitoring and evaluating a project's activity to ensure departmental objectives are met.
- Maintain an understanding of issues impacting the department's clients and investigate and lead critical projects that develop and review operating practices that enhance service delivery, budget effectiveness, efficiency and improved client outcomes.
- Promote a strong understanding of issues relating to client services across the state and integrate knowledge of up to date research and theory to develop innovative solutions to new, emerging and historical issues
