Position Details

THE ROLE

The Executive Support Officer in Legal Services provides high-level administrative and executive management support, with particular attention to confidentiality and sensitivity, to executive team and the wider leadership team in legal services. 

The role is a central point of contact and includes extensive engagement with stakeholders from a diverse range of organisations, government, and private organisations.  Attention to detail, teamwork, agility and flexibility underpin success in this role as well as a demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

  • Manage and coordinate the emails, diaries, priorities and documentation (including filing) for the executive team, including the Co-General Counsels and the Director, CPLO.
  • Provide a range of effective executive support functions, including: accurately managing the office's events diary; providing quality support to committees, working groups and meetings; and preparing reports, briefs and correspondence on complex issues.
  • Arrange meetings and conferences, including liaison with senior executives and government officials coordinating papers, organising venues, agendas, taking minutes and follow-up actions and making travel and accommodation arrangements.
