Position Details
THE ROLE
The Senior Project Officer will work with the Principal Policy Officer to design and support implementation of a new Direct Personal Response (DPR) program for people who settle a civil child abuse claim against the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (the department). The new program will provide parity with and draw upon key principles underpinning the Victorian Government DPR Program which is a key component of the National Redress Scheme for people who have experienced institutional child sexual abuse. The Senior Project Officer will work proactively to undertake research, data analysis, co-design with people with living experience, and consultation with key stakeholders to develop documents and implement a new evidence-based policy and program.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
1. Contribute to the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including:
(a) Undertaking research, analysis and implementation of projects based on defined outcomes and outputs.
(b) Managing projects or sub-projects and being accountable for the successful delivery and completion of the projects/sub-projects within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.
(c) Monitoring and evaluating projects to ensure departmental objectives are met.
2. Provide authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders and prepare and present detailed reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions on complex matters.
3. Contribute to the development of policy and initiatives that meet government and departmental objectives within resourcing, timeline, and budget parameters.
