Position Details
THE ROLE
Senior Community Partnership Officer
As part of the Outer East Melbourne Area Community Partnerships Team, the Senior Community Partnerships Officer position contributes to the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing strategic directions of earlier and more connected support, and local solutions for our service users. The position aims to improve the wellbeing of individuals and communities through the development of opportunities for social and economic participation and to create opportunities for individuals and families to build better lives and achieve their potential by participating in the community and economy.
The Senior Community Partnerships Officer will develop, facilitate, and navigate relationships with local community stakeholder organisations, services and local governments on partnership projects and programs determined by local area and department priorities.
The Senior Community Partnerships Officer will inform, plan, and deliver place-based initiatives, locally and with other government bodies and units to drive opportunities that prioritise reform. The role will connect and navigate stakeholders to improve outcomes for local communities in line with department strategy.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
- Model and demonstrate behaviours in accordance with the values in all interactions with colleagues, direct reports, stakeholders, and others.
- Where responsible for overseeing, monitoring, or delivering projects, ensure they are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation and government regulations and guidelines.
- Provide authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders and prepare and present detailed reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet, and agency submissions on complex matters.
