Position Details

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Deputy Secretary of the Community Operations and Practice Leadership division, the Executive Director, Statewide Disability and Housing Operations Group is responsible for leading and delivering the implementation of identified departmental strategic operational priorities for statewide disability and housing services. This includes driving consistent quality service delivery, practice, and positive client outcomes by ensuring the responsiveness and financial sustainability of maintenance service through the Housing Call Centre on behalf of the Director of Housing, compliance with the Housing Act and Residential Tenancies Act and the delivery of Forensic Disability programs including the Disability Forensic Treatment Service and Disability Justice program.

The Executive Director is also responsible for responding to and negotiating sensitive statewide disability and housing matters, including providing authoritative advice to internal and external key stakeholders, government agencies, Ministers, and the Secretary.  

The role has management of approximately 290 FTE and associated operating budget, and oversight of a 24/7 forensic disability residential facility.
