Position Details
THE ROLE
The Senior Policy Officers are responsible for developing and delivering strategic projects relating to the work of the Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) portfolio managed by Disability Homes Victoria. The Senior Policy Officers will work within a team and with internal and external stakeholders to support the development of projects that seek to ensure that the Department's SDA offering best meets the needs and preferences of eligible NDIS participants.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Provide authoritative advice, reasoned recommendations and innovative solutions to complex and sensitive issues as a critical input to support Disability Homes Victoria policy priorities.
- Develop appropriate strategies and engagement plans to support the growth and renewal of government-owned SDA and support their implementation including through engagement with key stakeholders and support for senior executives.
- Monitor and report on high priority issues, risks and trends, and lead the preparation of briefings to senior executives, Ministers and Cabinet.
