Position Details
THE ROLE
Senior Project Officer
The Senior Project Officer position will lead critical work within the Aboriginal Initiatives Unit, Family Safety Victoria, to support the Dhelk Dja Partnership Forum deliver on its strategic vision, priorities and actions.
The position will provide high quality project, program, policy, governance, reporting and stakeholder support to design and deliver actions and monitor progress against the Dhelk Dja Agreement and its Action Plans.
The position will build strong relationships across Aboriginal communities, Aboriginal services, Department of Families, Fairness and Housing and other government departments/agencies to support outcomes in line with Dhelk Dja: Safe Our Way – Strong Culture, Strong Peoples, Strong Families, the new Aboriginal 10 Year Family Violence Agreement.
The position will support delivery of the Dhelk Dja Partnership Forum and other key governance structures that brings together Aboriginal communities, Aboriginal services and Government to create a future where Aboriginal people live free from family violence.
Applicants should possess strong written skills, conceptual and analytical abilities, project management skills and be collaborative.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Provide authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders and prepare and present detailed reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions on complex matters.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
- Where responsible for overseeing, monitoring or delivering projects, ensure they are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation and government regulations and guidelines.
