Position Details
THE ROLE
The Principal Project Manager will oversee and manage a range of multi-disciplinary consultancies and construction contractors involved in design, documentation and project delivery. This includes coordinating procurement processes, budget and cash flow management, stakeholder management, reporting, and risk and issues management.
The Principal Project Manager will manage a range of activities including design town planning, developing and executing consultant and contractor procurement processes, managing tender evaluations and negotiations and facilitating consultant/contractor engagements and decisions through program governance forums. The role will brief, procure and manage multi-disciplinary consultancies involved in design, documentation and project delivery. The role includes leadership and management of public and internal procurement and transaction processes, budget and cash flow management, reporting, and risk and issues management.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Lead the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including project development and delivery, monitoring and evaluation.
- Lead the preparation and presentation of reports, internal and ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions.
- Be accountable for budget management and financial reporting, including the preparation of project cashflows and forecasts.
