Position Details
THE ROLE
The Principal Project Manager, Building and Sector Engagement position provides an exciting opportunity for a high-performing individual to partner with Aboriginal Housing Organisations and support them to self-determine and achieve their community housing goals. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to inform the development of long-term strategic reform, investment and growth of social and community housing in Victoria. This position requires a dynamic and flexible professional, capable of managing multiple and competing priorities with opportunities to apply their skills and knowledge to formulate policies and practical responses to complex, system-wide issues in the social and community housing system. You will be part of a small, multi-disciplinary, fast-paced team which provides holistic support to Aboriginal organisations and housing agencies right from the initial pre-project and inception phase, all the way to final completion and delivery of First People housing outcomes.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Communication with key stakeholders (including the Aboriginal community sector and the community housing sector) on the key requirements of capital funding programs and build strong relationships to provide holistic support for them to achieve their community's housing needs.
- Providing expert advice and feedback to Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations on the structure of proposals and partnership arrangements consistent with key performance markers of the applicable funding program(s).
- Provide expert advice to Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations to develop credible, detailed bid proposals particularly in the areas of residential property development including site due diligence, planning approval process, preliminary works, procurement of consultants, procurement of Builder/ Developer and Construction Program management.
