About the organisation
Homes Victoria works across government, industry and the social housing and homelessness service sectors to provide stable and secure homes with the overarching purpose of “More Homes for More Victorians”. As the primary government agency managing Victoria's expanded social and affordable housing system, Homes Victoria works as part of the Department of Families Fairness and Housing. Their mission is built around the ethos that having a safe home is the foundation for a person's health and wellbeing. Homes Victoria's programs include delivery of an ambitious pipeline of over 17,000 social and affordable homes over four years, including the $5.3 billion Big Housing Build, and other significant government programs such as the Ground Lease Model, the Public Housing Renewal Program, establishment of the Affordable Housing Rental Scheme, implementation of Housing First responses, and multiple public private partnerships.
About the role
As an essential member of the Homes Victoria executive team, the Deputy CEO leads the delivery of a large portfolio of housing growth and redevelopment projects, housing and homelessness policy, public, social and affordable housing operational management, reform and delivery together with a suite of organisational transformation programs. Partnering with the CEO, the role will lead the agency towards delivering the Victorian Government's vision relating to social and affordable housing, wrap around housing support services and homelessness support. This is a Deputy Secretary level position and sits on the Department-wide Executive Board. It plays an important leadership role across the Department's programs and services.
About you
Inspired by impact with scale, you are a highly respected senior executive with demonstrated achievements in social infrastructure project delivery and/or service delivery, in public, community or private sector contexts. You inspire high performance in rapidly changing environments, and are known for your exceptional stakeholder, governance, commercial and operational management skills. You have proven abilities to cut through, communicate clearly and involve others on the journey, and you adeptly navigate competing interests to deliver. Reflecting your people focus, you build high performing teams, and your leadership is complemented by credibility with both community and stakeholders. You see a senior executive leadership role in Victoria's key housing services agency as highly aligned with the legacy you wish to create.
