Position Details

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Housing Division's Chief Development Officer, the Director, Delivery is an essential member of the Housing Division's executive team, leading the delivery of critical housing projects.

You will support other parts of the Housing Division that are delivering projects or initiatives that are focused on delivering an expanded suite of affordable, appropriate and stable housing options for Victorians. A key part of the Director's role will be working closely and collaboratively with not for profit, local government and private sector stakeholders, within the Housing Division, across the department and Victorian Government to develop responses and initiatives that deliver joint outcomes and are informed by the principles of self-determination.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

As our ideal candidate, you will be required to demonstrate: 

  • Strong project/program management and delivery skills with demonstrated ability to plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed and engaged in a fast-paced and flexible environment
  • A track record in the successful delivery of high value infrastructure projects in the last 10 years
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to provide the direction and governance necessary to ensure successful delivery against strategic and financial goals
  • High-level stakeholder management skills with ability to manage sensitive and complex negotiations and competing priorities
  • Creative and innovative thinking with the ability to draw on a wide range of resources to develop dynamic and effective solutions
  • A collaborative personality who can influence and negotiate with key stakeholders within government and the sector to drive forward key government reforms.
