Position Details

THE ROLE

Are you a:

  • Experienced in delivering and programming multifaceted fast-track social infrastructure projects?
  • Experienced in delivering highly complex, large scale developments with multiple consultancies and stakeholders?
  • Experienced in managing and overseeing the full life cycle of projects (including feasibility, construction and design management, government procurement processes, town planning, tendering and contract administration) with a focus of identifying risks and establishing risk mitigation processes?
  • Efficient in providing leadership, guidance and authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders?
  • A proven project management professional with exceptional interpersonal, written communication, consultation and negotiation skills? 

The Principal Project Manager will work in a collaborative and innovative team focused on delivering the Government's Big Housing Build agenda of increasing social and affordable housing in Victoria.

The Principal Project Manager will provide pro-active and authoritative project management leadership and oversee and manage a range of multi-disciplinary consultancies involved in design, documentation and project delivery. This includes coordinating procurement processes, budget and cash flow management, stakeholder management, reporting and risk and issues management.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

  1. Lead the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including project development and delivery, monitoring and evaluation.
  2. Lead the preparation and presentation of reports, internal and ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions.
  3. Be accountable for budget management and financial reporting, including the preparation of project cashflows and forecasts
