Position Details

THE ROLE

Are you:

  • Experienced in supporting the management and delivery of high-volume contracts with multiple consultancies and stakeholders
  • Able to manage and oversee the full lifecycle of projects (including feasibility, design management, town planning, tendering and contract administration) with a focus of identifying risks and establishing risk mitigation processes
  • A dynamic team-player with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, committed to delivering outcomes under tight timeframes

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager to support project delivery for the Facilities Management Unit, Asset Management. The Senior Project Manager supports the management and delivery of multi-disciplinary consultancies and contracts for the Mechanical and Electrical Team.

The role will require a dynamic, flexible, and experienced candidate with experience in all facets of project management including coordinating procurement processes, providing authoritative advice, and building strong stakeholder relationships to deliver key project outcomes.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

1. Contribute to the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including:

(a)  Undertaking research, analysis and implementation of projects based on defined outcomes and outputs.

(b)  Managing projects or sub-projects and being accountable for the successful delivery and completion of the projects/sub-projects within resourcing, timeline, and budget parameters.  

(c)   Monitoring and evaluating projects to ensure departmental objectives are met.

2. Understand financial boundaries and manage cashflows to ensure budgets and deadlines are met.

3. Provide authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders and prepare and present detailed reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet, and agency submissions on complex matters.
