THE ROLE

Are you:

  • Experienced in structuring commercial infrastructure, property or corporate deals including tax, legal, security and financial negotiations.
  • An experienced strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to apply strategic commercial and financial assessment and risk management frameworks and principles.
  • An innovative thinker who could work across Homes Victoria and with external stakeholders to identify opportunities and bring together partners to agree on and implement solutions to issues.
  • Accomplished at communicating complex policy and commercial issues and proposals in a clear, cogent, and impactful way to enable informed decision making and stakeholder buy in.
  • Able to synthesise information from a range of sources, and comfortable analysing and communicating both quantitative and qualitative information so that it is understood by different audiences.

A rewarding and challenging opportunities exist for a highly experienced property, infrastructure, commercial law or procurement Specialist Adviser within the Commercial Development Unit in the Housing Growth and Commercial Development Branch of Homes Victoria.

The Specialist Adviser will be part of a collaborative and innovative team focused on identifying, analysing, and implementing innovative commercial structures that support the growth of social and affordable housing in Victoria. The Specialist Adviser will undertake commercial and financial analysis, advise on funding structures and commercial development models for property and infrastructure projects to be delivered in partnerships between Homes Victoria and third-party partners. This includes developing financial structures, financial analysis, commercial transactions, deal structuring (including tax, legal, security and financial), commercial negotiations, governance approvals and stakeholder management.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
