THE ROLE

Are you a:

  • A strategic and innovative thinker who could work across Homes Victoria and with external stakeholders to identify opportunities and bring together partners to agree on and implement solutions to issues?
  • Accomplished at communicating complex policy and commercial issues and proposals in a clear, cogent, and impactful way to enable informed decision making and stakeholder buy in?
  • Have expertise and/or qualifications relevant to the development and approval of infrastructure projects, including in relation to the development and approval of project business cases, compliance with project assurance requirements and analysis of relevant policy and strategic issues?

A rewarding and challenging opportunities exist for an experienced Principal Policy Analyst within the Commercial Development Team at Homes Victoria.

The Principal Policy Analyst will work alongside a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team focused on delivering the Government's agenda of increasing access to social and affordable housing for Victorians as part of the $5 billion Big Housing Build. This include ensuring that projects fulfil assurance requirements through the delivery of robust and well resolved business cases, analysis of program and project data and issues and working with stakeholders to address project, policy and strategic issues.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

1. Effectively provide leadership to a team of employees

2. Collaborate with a team of Project Advisers to effectively oversee the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including some or all these areas:

  1. work across Homes Victoria and with external stakeholders to identify opportunities and bring together partners to agree on and implement solutions to issues.
  2. communicate complex policy and commercial issues and proposals in a clear, cogent, and impactful way to enable informed decision making and stakeholder buy in.
  3. synthesise information from a range of sources, and comfortable analysing and communicating both quantitative and qualitative information so that it is understood by different audiences

3. Work closely with other Government agencies to ensure that policies can be enacted across Homes Victorian initiatives.
