Are you:

  • Experienced and proficient in core project management competencies including management of design, cost, program, quality, risk and compliance?
  • Experienced in coordinating consultants and capturing outcomes to facilitate the delivery of large scale, fast- tracked projects under tight timeframes?
  • Able to manage and oversee all stages of the delivery program (including design management, tendering and procurement, safety, site coordination, contract administration and quality management) with a focus on identifying risks and establishing risk mitigation processes?
  • Experienced in administration of construction contracts?
  • A dynamic team-player with high attention to detail, ability to follow due process and exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and consultation and negotiation skills?
  • Experienced in a government context (favourable)?

The Senior Project Manager, Technical, will work in a collaborative and innovative team focused on delivering the Government's agenda of increasing access to affordable housing for Victorians. The role requires a dynamic and flexible candidate with experience end to end on large scale construction projects including housing. The role will also require extensive experience in project management, procurement, contract administration, design, planning and construction management. The Senior Project Manager will provide authoritative advice and build strong stakeholder relationships to deliver key project outcomes.


  1.  Support the full life cycle of projects (with a focus on demolition and enabling works) to meet departmental objectives including project development, procurement and delivery, monitoring and evaluation.
  2. Assist in the preparation and presentation of reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions meeting agendas and minutes.
  3. Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
