Position Details

THE ROLE

Are you:

  • A property professional with experience in managing a diverse commercial property portfolio within the public, private or not-for-profit sectors?  
  • A team player and a collaborator with good understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act, Victorian Government Land Policies, and the role of the Valuer Generals Office? 
  • A good communicator with an understanding of residential lease management specifically in the residential sector? 

The Senior Portfolio Officer is responsible for the management and oversight of complex property portfolios made available by Homes Victoria to registered housing agencies and providers. These activities include contract management, portfolio analysis and performance reporting, management, and administration of managing agent and landlord obligations. This includes drafting and review of complex property agreements (lease, variations, registration and/or removal of interests, etc).  

Reporting to the Portfolio Team Leader, this role is a hands-on property and contract management role that leads lease administration, stakeholder management, critical date and performance management, risk management and general portfolio administration duties

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

  1. Effectively manage, develop, and review office processes for the full suite of portfolio management functions including contract management, performance management, lease negotiation and execution, property title interest administration and other related contract management functions. 
  2. Answer queries, provide timely expert advice, undertake follow up action and identify emerging administrative functions, pre-planning, and evaluation. 
  3. Lead meetings and conferences, including liaison with senior executives and government officials coordinating papers, organising venues, agendas, taking minutes and follow-up actions and making travel and accommodation arrangements
