THE ROLE

Are you:

  • A property professional with experience in managing a diverse commercial property portfolio within the public, private or not-for-profit sectors? 
  • An innovator that can identify commercial opportunities, develop project plans for implementation and engagement with key stakeholders to deliver on revenue opportunities?
  • A leader and a collaborator with good understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act, Retail Leases Act, Victorian Government Land Policies, and the role of the Valuer Generals Office?
  • A good communicator with stakeholder management experience and an understanding of commercial lease management?

The Senior Commercial Portfolio Officer is responsible for the management, development and growth of the Homes Victoria commercial and non-service delivery portfolio property portfolio. These activities include portfolio analysis and performance reporting and contract management of tenant and landlord obligations across a diverse portfolio of telecommunication, advertising, retail and other non-housing asset types. Reporting to the Portfolio and Leasing Manager, this role is a hands-on property management role that leads stakeholder management, critical date and contract management, risk management and general portfolio administration duties.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

  1. Lead the growth, management and administration of a commercial and specialist portfolio of properties/agreements designed to leverage off the Director of Housing's extensive asset base across the State, including critical date management, lease responsibilities, risk management and overall portfolio performance.
  2. Manage, interpret, and apply business plans and policies in own area of responsibility and provide advice to others on design and implementation issues.
  3. Deliver sound commercial property management solutions to senior management on matters including portfolio strategies, commercial opportunities and cashflow ensuring value for money.
