An exciting opportunity exists for a Team Leader on an Ongoing basis in Secure Care Services.

Secure Care Services is a state-wide statutory service that has two secure, gender-specific facilities. Each unit has the capacity to accommodate children and young people deemed to be at immediate and substantial risk of harm under the Child, Youth and Families Act 2005, for up to 21 days (42 days in exceptional circumstances). 

The Team Leader is responsible for the direct care, safety and support of clients in a residential unit and provides professional supervision to a team of Direct Care Workers.

Mandatory qualifications or requirements for this opportunity include:

  • Diploma in Youth Justice or other tertiary qualifications appropriate to community services or educational practice.
  • A driver's licence is required due to the need to work across work locations.


  • Senior First Aid/CPR or willing to obtain prior to commencement of role
  • A current Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC) card is required and will need to be provided prior to commencement of employment by the applicant. Currency will need to be maintained by the employee for the period of employment.
