Position Details

POSITION SUMMARY:

This role will primarily be responsible for drafting Ministerial and departmental correspondence for matters relating to the public health response to COVID-19

Role: Briefings and Correspondence Officer

Number of vacancies available: 2, Fixed Term until 30/06/2022

Office Location(s): 50 Lonsdale Street/Work from home

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Research and draft correspondence replies for the Minister for Health, the Deputy Secretary and other Executives, which will involve working with internal DH stakeholders.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of policies and processes to ensure up-to-date information is included in replies.
  • Support in the operational efficiency and continuous improvement of the team.
  • Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
  • Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services.
  • Provide support in drafting a variety of other government documentation as directed, including briefs, letters, Parliamentary questions and PPQs.
