 Position Summary: 

The Technical Data Analyst supports and understands the variety of core systems in the COVID response, and works closely with the technology teams and business operational teams (including reporting teams) to ensure data provisioned for consumption continues to meet stakeholder needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting into the Azure and Data Engineers
  • Test and validate the functionality and outputs of the COVID-19 Data Model and related warehouses / source systems
  • Support the Azure Engineer in the build and maintenance of the Azure Data Factory pipelines
  • Gather business requirements for reporting metrics associated with COVID-19 outbreak management and COVID-19 vaccinations
  • Technical implementation of business logic in SQL or DAX as well as Azure Analysis Services
  • Dimensional modelling for development of new objects or logic in the model
  • Troubleshoot and test the model to ensure correct functionality
  • Communicate design changes and assess corresponding impacts to stakeholders
  • Test design changes to ensure consistency and accuracy for reporting
  • Address defects identified by business users and implement fixes within the model or the underlying SQL Server
  • Support other DIME teams in their PowerBI report development
  • Create documentation to record processes within the team
  • Attend daily stand-ups and other meetings as required within the team
  • Implementation of technical logic in the COVID-19 Data Model to satisfy business requirements
  • Document changes made to processes in relation to the architecture and design of the COVID-19 Data Model and related warehouses / source systems
  • Communicate design changes and assess impact to the business users of the COVID-19 Data Model and related warehouses / source systems
