The position of Senior Adviser is responsible for delivering work and providing expertise associated with a range of governance activities. The work includes reviewing and supporting the department's governance framework, managing a register of committees and library of resources to support effective committee operations, working with policy owners to review and revise organisational policy documents in line with policy standards and process, and managing a catalogue of corporate services.

The department is committed to providing and maintain a working environment which is safe and without risk to the health of its employees. The department may require its employees to be fully vaccinated against preventable diseases such as Influenza, coronavirus (COVID-19) and other transmissible diseases based on Victorian Chief Health Officer advice as issued and updated from time to time. Vaccination requirements may differ from role to role based on their risk category. The department's policy outlines the risk categories and requirements for employees working for the department. Where relevant, proof of immunisation status may also be required.
