Position Details

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Digital Mental Health Manager, the Senior Business Analyst will provide sound advice, proposals and recommendations on the transition from the current statewide mental health information system to the new statewide Mental Health and Wellbeing Record, based on analysis, consideration and consultation with stakeholders.  This work is being delivered in response Recommendation 62 of the Royal Commission into the Victorian Mental Health System (RCVMHS). This role is a critical enabler of the Victoria's mental health reform agenda. The program will improve the provision of, and access to a single shared view of the person being cared for. This will help consumers and carers to actively manage their treatment and care, and support service providers in the safe management and transfer of care.

Are you

  • Experienced with the Victoria's digital health sector, with excellent business engagement and change management oversight skills?
  • Able to liaise, foster and forge new and ongoing relationships with a range of stakeholders in a complex mental health care operating environment to problem solve and influence their engagement?
  • Knowledgeable about data governance, privacy and consent legislation to provide advice to stakeholders in order to achieve overall business objectives?

Accountabilities

  • Be able to conceptualise the mental health reform agenda and develop innovative and practical solutions to problems.
  • Produce clear, concise and accurate written documentation for both specialist and non-specialist audiences.
  • Lead the review of workflow, process mapping and systems integration processes for a highly complex enterprise process and service.
  • Provide expert advice utilising modern best practice techniques about the feasibility and suitability of proposed solutions to optimise business performance.
  • Develop and communicate business analysis advice including supporting relevant legislation in respect of mental health information sharing.Contribute to relevant meetings, including Health Service Engagement, Health Services Change and Adoption, Project Control and Steering committees.
  • Where responsible for overseeing, monitoring, or delivering projects, ensure they are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation and government regulations and guidelines. 
  • Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
