About the role: 

The Team Leader, Emergency Management Planning leads and supports a team to deliver the development and implementation of the department's doctrine and plans across Prevention, Preparedness, Response and Recovery framework of Emergency Management and facilitating the achievement of the department's legislative obligations and responsibilities for emergency management. The role will work across the Emergency Management branch and the department to ensure incident and emergency management doctrine aligns with the State Emergency Management Plan: Health Emergencies Sub-Plan and relevant legislation.

About you:

  • A tertiary qualification in emergency management or related fields, such as health administration or business management would be desirable.   
  • Australasian Inter-Service Incident Management System (AIIMS) training and certification.   
  • A full driver's licence is required due to the need to respond to emergencies across the State at short notice and outside business hours as required.   
  • Has the equivalent of three years' or more applicable experience in emergency management, across prevention, preparedness, response and recovery, and has successfully fulfilled a leadership response role for complex, high impact, high consequence emergency events.
