The Manager, Services, Programs and Technology leads a small team to oversee the statewide specialist policy and programs relating to existing statewide speciality programs, blood, organ transplant and existing palliative care programs.
Reporting to the Director, Statewide and Specialist Programs, the Manager, Services, Programs and Technology will be involved in leading national ‘big policy' considerations and will be required to exercise strong attention to detail, a systems thinking mindset and excellent communication skills to support key initiatives that will drive improvements across the health system.
The role will require focused stakeholder engagement skills to develop effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders including representing the Victorian Department of Health at commonwealth jurisdictional forums.
The successful applicant will demonstrate sound leadership and people management skills, as well as an ability to influence others to maximise efficiency and effectiveness of the Victorian health workforces and improve outcomes for Victorians.

Qualifications and Specialist Expertise
Qualificiations - A relevant tertiary qualification is desirable
Specialist Expertise - Experience in health system program management and knowledge of specialist services would be of benefit.
