Position Details
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Project Officer may be responsible for a range of governance, and secretariat projects within the Project Governance team to ensure systems and processes are developed to continuously improve service delivery that enhances professional standards. The role will undertake the coordination, quality assurance and executive management of Board and Steering Committee meetings; they may be called upon to assist in the preparation of reports, memorandums, and briefs; and project management tasks as required.

Accountabilities
- Support the operational performance of the Board and Steering Committee meetings through the provision of secretariat support as per the operating rhythm, sound governance advice and efficient administration.
- Support a range of governance and corporate reporting activities such as the coordination of meeting papers, budget submissions, briefings, correspondence, interdepartmental and/or departmental stakeholder responses and Ministerial requests in a timely, efficient and accurate manner.
- Assisting in the preparation of reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions on a range of matters.
- Where responsible for overseeing, monitoring or delivering projects, ensure they are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation and government regulations and guidelines.
- Work collaboratively and assist the flow of information across the branch as relevant and appropriate.
- Undertake other duties as required and more complex tasks under direction.
- Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
- Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services.
