Position Details
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking an outstanding and passionate individual to join the Sustaining & Enhancing Capital Programs team. The Project Officer will work as part of the Rural Health Infrastructure Fund (RHIF) to support implementation and ongoing program management of numerous funding programs within the Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA). The position will have responsibility to provide key support with administration of the submission processing, preparing reports, drafting of correspondence, assisting with the distribution of funds and acquittal claims, change requests and record management. The role is the primary point of contact for system support for internal and external users.

Accountabilities
- Maintain submission and project data to ensure accurate information on the status of funds provided to Health Services. Take ownership of data quality and resolve any issues.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
- Answer queries, provide timely advice and take follow up action as required, including correctly redirecting incoming queries.
- Effectively manage program management processes and maintain systems for records management, reporting, contract management and Agency correspondence.
- Identify improvements and contribute to the development of new systems and processes in collaboration with the relevant subject matter experts across the department, to identify the most appropriate solutions.
- Contribute to monitoring and evaluating projects to ensure departmental objectives are met.
- Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
- Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services.
