POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Project Manager – Developments will lead the health capital infrastructure development from project inception through Masterplanning (project specific), Detailed Functional Brief, Development Feasibility, Concept Design Options and Construction Procurement & Staging Analysis to inform and develop full Business Cases for capital investment consideration by State Government.  Strong Development Management and Project Management, excellent commercial acumen, analytical ability, stakeholder management and communication skills are required to be successful in this role.

Are You

  • A Senior Development Manager or Senior Project Manager (Client side) who is highly experienced in large complex brownfield health infrastructure projects (including Aged Care) specifically in initial phases of the development lifecycle incorporating project inception, project definition, masterplanning, feasibility, concept design through to full business case development for capital investment consideration by State Government.
  • Have strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.
  • A person who takes initiative and has the ability to prioritise and schedule tasks in order to meet tight timelines?
  • Have an ability to motivate and deliver results with proven project leadership skills in a politically sensitive environment

Acountabilities

The Senior Project Manager, Developments within the Asset Development and Infrastructure Services unit of the Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) will work in a collaborative team, managing the capital development process for critical health projects and development of full business cases pursuant to Department of Treasury and Finance guidelines.

The Senior Project Manager, Developments will work to manage and oversee a package ofhealth infrastructure projects from initial definition to full business case development to inform sound investment decisions by government in line with the VHBA's Project Management Framework (below). Reporting to the Project Director, Developments the Senior Project Manager, Developments will manage and oversee the all development activities required to develop and inform a full business cases, build, lead and maintain collaborative and constructive critical stakeholder relationships and drive excellence and innovation in the provision of capital planning, development and business cases.
