Position Details

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System Final Report sets a comprehensive and ambitious reform agenda that the Victorian Government has committed to implementing in full. We are looking for exceptional individuals to join the Mental Health Division to support implementation of the Royal Commission's recommendations relating to the mental health and wellbeing workforce.

Assisting the Director – Workforce Strategy and Reform. the Senior Manager, Workforce Reform Implementation and Operations is a key role in the Division that will provide senior leadership to two workforce implementation teams: the Growth and Development teams, overseeing collaborative workforce analysis, planning, design, and consultation to support implementation of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Workforce Strategy 2021-2024, as well as to support system and service redesign across the Royal Commissions 65 Recommendations.

Accountabilities

  • Provide high quality leadership and guidance with respect to business intelligence, advice and sound policy recommendations to executive leadership and government based on comprehensive research.
  • Contribute advanced expertise and knowledge to benefit strategic planning and organisation/sector-wide outcomes.
  • Assisting the Director, oversee implementation of programs and operations each with increased budget, staff responsibilities or strategic importance.
  • Respond productively to deliver solutions and outcomes in an organisational environment complicated by scale, heterogeneity and complexity
  • Contribute advanced expertise to steward shape and coordinate large scale, complex projects that inform workforce growth and development priorities and policy.
  • Coordinate and provide advice to support departmental system design and service planning activities.
  • Support teams to manage the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including project development and delivery, monitoring and evaluation of workforce growth and development initiatives.
  • Assist the Director in establishing and maintaining strong connections across the department, other key departments and external stakeholders to facilitate a collaborative approach to implementation of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Workforce Strategy and funded growth initiatives.
  • Respond flexibly and adapt approaches in order to deliver outcomes in the face of uncertainty.
  • Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.

The department is committed to providing and maintaining a working environment which is safe and without risk to the health of its workers and clients.
