Position Details

About the role: 

Reporting through to the Manager, Balit Murrup Unit - Policy, Patient Safety and Self-Determination, the Senior Policy Officer will play a key role in the design and delivery of culturally safe mental health and social and emotional wellbeing services to Aboriginal communities. Candidates with a deep understanding of issues facing Aboriginal communities, strong skills and experience spanning public policy, participatory decision making, project management and delivery and stakeholder engagement are encouraged to apply.

Specialist Expertise 

A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture, Aboriginal community needs in contemporary society and the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal organisations and people would be expected.
