Position Details
About the role:
The Senior Project Officer will lead and contribute to the key projects and functions of the Chief Clinical Officers and the broader work of the CPLU. As a member of the CPLU, you will be required to build and maintain effective working relationships across SCV, the Department and with key stakeholders in the health sector.
Utilising your proven strategic and project management abilities, coupled with systems thinking, you will work collaboratively within a team of senior project officers to support the strategic and operational work of the Clinical Chief Officers, with a particular focus on the portfolio of the Chief Nurse and Midwifery Officer, including projects related to the Principal Child Maternal Health Nursing Adviser, Senior Nursing Advisor and Senior Midwifery Adviser.
The Senior Project Officer role encompasses but is not limited to leading key projects and priorities of the Chiefs, providing clinical advice, managing day-to-day operational matters, and high-level project administration. This dynamic role requires someone with a passion for healthcare improvement, an understanding of multidisciplinary teams and the medical professions, and offers exposure to the work of senior health system leaders to drive improvements in the quality and safety of healthcare in Victoria.

Qualifications & Specialist Expertise
Qualifications - A tertiary qualification in fields related to nursing, midwifery, paramedicine, allied health, medicine, or health administration is highly desirable.
Specialist Expertise -
- Previous experience working in the health sector would be highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of the nursing and midwifery workforce is desirable.
- Strong understanding of maternal and child health services is desirable.
- Project management and stakeholder engagement in healthcare.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
