Position Details

About the role: 

The Project Analyst, Delivery Hub is a critical role within the Digital Health Projects unit, responsible for driving data integrity, performance tracking, and strategic reporting across multiple high-value initiatives. This role underpins the unit's ability to monitor KPIs, build and maintain dashboards, analyse delivery performance, and ensure accurate financial tracking—functions that are essential for whole-of-government reporting and executive oversight. Working as part of the Delivery Hub, the Project Analyst ensures that project data is robust, timely, and actionable, supporting decision-making at all levels.

The role collaborates closely with project managers and stakeholders to deliver insights that drive continuous improvement and successful project delivery. The position collaborates with various teams, business areas, and stakeholders to support the delivery of high-quality digital solutions within Victoria's health services.

About you:

Can you demonstrate the following?

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reporting tools to provide accurate, real-time insights into project delivery performance and key metrics.
  • Analyse project data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, supporting evidence-based decision-making and continuous improvement across the Delivery Hub portfolio.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial tracking and project data, underpinning whole-of-government reporting and executive oversight requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to gather requirements, validate data, and deliver high-quality reports that meet strategic and operational needs.

Qualifications / Specialist Expertise

Qualifications

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g., business, health administration, data analytics, project management, information technology), or an equivalent discipline or experience, is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Certification in data analytics or related field (e.g., Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, IBM Data Analyst Professional Certificate, Certified Analytics Professional, or equivalent) is highly regarded but not mandatory.
  • Certifications in relevant platforms (e.g., Power BI) or health informatics (e.g., CHIA) are desirable but not mandatory.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM) or equivalent is desirable but not mandatory. 

Specialist Expertise

  • Minimum of 2 years PMO / Program/Project Delivery functional level experience.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in data analytics methodologies and their practical application.
  • Experience in the Victorian Public Health Sector is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Expertise in developing and maintaining dashboards and reporting tools for project delivery and performance tracking.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis, interpretation, and visualisation to support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Experience ensuring data integrity and accuracy in project and financial tracking systems.
  •  Proficiency in using project management methodologies and tools (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, MS Project, Power BI).
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for executive and whole-of-government reporting.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including gathering requirements and delivering tailored reports to diverse audiences.
