Position Summary:

The Senior Financial Business Analyst will report to the Director, Oracle Redesign and will manage the involvement of the Finance Branch in a range of significant projects including (but not limited to);

  • review of current chart of accounts arrangements and develop and implement a new chart of accounts, including guiding principles, data dictionary, reporting hierarchies, naming conventions.
  • assess implications on subsidiary systems for changes to the chart of accounts
  • review current financial business processes and practices and develop alternate streamlined processes
  • assessment  of current Oracle system customisations and develop alternate practical solutions to remove customisations  where applicable, eg, Cost Attribution Model, GST determination etc
  • develop business cases for change, including options analysis, feasibility, cost and benefit estimation, investment logic
  • document findings in clear, easily-understandable products.
  • pro-actively build and maintain positive relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • pro-actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the business analysis capability within The Finance team
  • provide assistance and direction in the implementation of Oracle in the cloud
