Position Summary:

Principal Project Manager, NDIS Transition OHS and WorkCover Compliance

This position plays an integral role in supporting disability residential service participants, families and staff during

transition to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and transfer of services to the non-government sector. We are looking for an exceptional outcomes focussed Principal Project Manager to lead the development and implementation of strategies and processes to support, prepare and facilitate a smooth and positive transfer during the transfer readiness phase.  Post-transfer the role transforms into a monitoring role.  

The Principal Project Manager will lead activity including planning, implementation and monitoring to ensure that department obligations in relation to occupational health and safety and WorkCover are met during the transfer of  department employees on secondment to non-government NDIS service providers.  The role will require extensive liaison with internal and external stakeholders to meet deliver these outcomes with adherence to project readiness timelines and milestones. The position will be supported by and manage, in the first instance, a team incorporating two project team leaders. As the secondment progresses this team will grow to between six and eight dependent on work demand.

Working as part of a small, dynamic and highly flexible team, the Principal Project Manager will have a passion for achieving outcomes and lead the team in applying their skills and knowledge across a range of complex and sensitive OHS, workers compensation and return to work matters to deliver these outcomes.  This challenging space will require your strong relationship, time management and project management skills. Your genuine passion for leading a project team to deliver on outcomes teamed with your ability to problem and adapt easily to changing circumstances is a must.

Are You?

  • Highly experienced in OHS and WorkCover and injury management and project management of related activities?
  • Motivated by the opportunity to contribute to significant change in the management and oversight of OHS and WorkCover for Disability Accommodation Service employees transferring to NDIS non-government service providers?
  • Able to provide strong leadership to and partnering with internal and external stakeholders?
