Position Summary:

Supervisory

The Senior Child Protection Practitioner (Supervisory) has a commitment to develop and support Child Protection Practitioners in the integration of theory and practice whilst demonstrating their expertise through case practice and the supervision of child protection practitioners. The Senior Child Protection Practitioner will work collaboratively with the Team Manager to strengthen case practice, to provide effective service delivery and to support other practitioners.

  • Positions are available in Investigation & Response (Shepparton), Case Management (Shepparton) and Integrated (Case Management ) Differential Response (Shepparton or Seymour). Please indicate in your cover letter which team you are applying for if you have a preference.

Non-Supervisory

Working collaboratively with the Team Manager to provide effective service delivering the Senior Child Protection Practitioner (non-supervisory) maintains a full case load and is a valued senior member of the team.  This challenging yet rewarding position's responsibilities include the receiving and assessing of reports of alleged abuse and neglect of children and young people, providing guidance and expertise in relation to highly sensitive cases and challenging issues, the preparation of documentation to make recommendations to the Children's Court of Victoria and other relevant courts.
