Position Summary:


The Assistant Director, Strategic and Digital Communications is responsible for leading and managing strategic (internal and external) communications and leading and managing all aspects of digital communications at the Victorian Health and Human Services Building Authority (the Authority).




The Assistant Director, Strategic and Digital Communications will work to ensure the Authority delivers high quality digital services including content, effective communications and marketing strategies, public relations and event management to protect and promote the work of the Victorian Health and Human Services Building Authority.




The Assistant Director, Strategic and Digital Communications will advise and support the Director of Communications and Engagement through the development of the Authority's Strategic Communications Strategy, Digital and Engagement Strategy and related proactive internal and external activities.




The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong skills in managing a diverse set of senior stakeholders.  They will need to be a strategic individual who can effectively manage risk and create opportunity in leading the delivery of innovative, integrated digital and strategic communications.  They will also be open to new ideas and ways of working, and able to embrace innovative practices as part of improving communications effectiveness and Branch performance.


When required, and as agreed by the Director of Communications and Engagement, the successful applicant will provide leadership, surge support and team resources to other functions within the Branch to ensure effective communication and engagement services can be delivered during peak periods.
