Position Summary:

 

The Project Director, Transaction will be a highly focused and driven professional who is passionate about contributing to the delivery of public infrastructure, working within a high-performing project teams to drive exceptional outcomes.  You must have experience in health infrastructure planning and delivery in a Public Private Partnership (PPP) setting and be able to work effectively within a complex multi-disciplinary environment, communicating with a range of stakeholders and delivering high quality deliverables on time.

 

Reporting to the Project Director, Frankston Hospital, Public Private Partnership Projects, the Project Director, Transaction will provide executive leadership in the planning, procurement and delivery of VHHSBA's major capital projects across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria with initial work on the Frankston Hospital Redevelopment project.

 

The Project Director, Transaction will be responsible for providing authoritative specialist input into planning, delivery and reporting on progress of health PPP infrastructure projects.

 

The Project Director, Transaction will have experience in managing the planning and procurement phases of Public Private Partnership projects in Victoria with additional experience in managing the operations phase of health PPPs.

 

The Project Director, Transaction will have a deep appreciation for best practice project management, the Victorian Government's key infrastructure policy frameworks and working collaboratively with and leading a team of dedicated resources to ensure successful project delivery. The successful applicant must also be capable of translating the Department's strategic objectives into the planning and development of VHHSBA's major projects.

 

You will operate in a fast paced, performance focused workplace where you may need to work autonomously.

 

Are you

 

Someone with proven project leadership skills in politically sensitive environments combined with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills particularly on capital building projects. In addition, you will demonstrate skills and experience in:

 

  • Project management, with proven skills in delivering project outcomes within specific timelines.
  • Managing the planning and procurement of health PPP projects.
  • High level interpersonal and written communication, consultation and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to make judgements about and articulate issues at senior levels within the public and private sectors.
