Position Summary:

The Principal Policy Officer, System Policy and Integration Unit has responsibility for implementation of key mental health reform projects under Victoria's 10-year mental health plan. The role provides high level policy advice in relation to system integration proposals to ensure high quality and effective service responses for vulnerable groups. The role requires collaboration across various government departments, as well as non-government agencies to deliver multi-faceted community mental health and wellbeing programs.


The role requires flexibility and creativity to respond to emerging issues and reform agendas including transition of Victorian mental health community support services to the National Disability Insurance Scheme, and closer partnerships with the Department of Justice and Regulation regarding forensic mental health services.
