Position Summary:

The Manager, Health Service Budget and Funding, will be proactive, authoritative, display a high level of business acumen and use their knowledge and expertise to contribute to sustainable performance improvement of metropolitan public health services and the broader Victorian public health system.

The Manager, Health Service Budgets and Funding, leads the coordination of divisional budget processes,  allocating health service budgets, maintaining and developing specific purpose support systems and reports  and providing funding advice within the Commissioning, Performance and Regulation Branch. Reporting to the Assistant Director, Metropolitan Health service performance, the role works closely with a number of divisional and inter departmental stakeholders, including finance and funding policy areas of the department, to allocate health service budgets and develop the Policy and Funding Guidelines which set the terms and conditions for funding of health services and other funded agencies.


Are you:

  • Approachable and able to build and maintain effective working relationships?
  • Highly experienced in hospital budget allocation and health service funding policy
  • Have a strong working understanding of the departments corporate systems
  • A strong negotiator with excellent analytical skills?
