Position Summary:

The Assistant Director, Funding Policy and Integration leads a team of staff within the Policy and Planning Branch. This team develops funding policy, implements projects that use alternative funding approaches to support and drive integration between primary, secondary and tertiary health services and supports the relationship between the Commonwealth and State as it relates to both funding policy and service integration. 

The team provides both technical and policy advice aimed at improving the sustainability and performance of the health service system. The unit is responsible for shaping and developing priorities for funding reform in close collaboration with other policy areas within the Health and Wellbeing Division and across the Department.  A key focus is developing and implementing innovative funding models that support value-based outcomes.
