Position Summary:

The Manager Rural and Regional Health Performance, plays a key leadership role in the oversight of rural health services performance and fosters interconnection between the regional office performance, quality and governance teams.

The role works with the regional managers to focus on collaboration, partnerships, continuous service monitoring, quality improvement and improved models of service delivery. The role provides support and advice to the boards of management of rural health services.

The role coordinates and leads responses to new and emerging issues relating to rural and regional health services as well as rural health more broadly (as needed). The role actively works in collaboration with the relevant broader DHHS in driving improvements in quality health service delivery and system improvement.

Are you

  • A systems thinker who knows how to act to achieve sustainable performance improvements?
  • A strong communicator with a demonstrated collaborative approach to achieving outcomes?
  • Able to work effectively with key partners to achieve shared outcomes?
  • Experienced in governance, safety and quality within the health sector, with knowledge of the particular challenges in rural health?
