Position Summary:

Manager, Sector Development               

The Manager Sector Development, Community Care and Assessment Branch is responsible for administering the project plan for joint management arrangements between the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and the Commonwealth Department of Health (DOH) concerning the Sector Development and Change Management Framework (SDCMF) for a period of three years from 1 July 2016 to 30 June 2019.

The position is responsible for delivering on the commitments made between the Commonwealth and Victoria in the Bilateral Agreement on transitioning responsibilities for aged care and disability services which runs to 30 June 2019.

The Manager Sector Development will play a key role in networking and managing relationships with internal stakeholders in DHHS, the Commonwealth Department of Health, State and Territory representatives and external stakeholders including the Municipal Association of Victoria, the Victorian Healthcare Association, the Ethnic Communities Council Victoria and the Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation.

The Manager Sector Development will have strong leadership skills, extensive experience in complex project management, relationship management, networking influencing negotiation and problem solving skills to successfully develop a foundation that will enable effective change management and communication.
