An outstanding part time (0.5) opportunity currently exists for a highly motivated individual to join the vibrant Swan Hill based team in the capacity of Solicitor. As a solicitor within the Department you will be part of a team of lawyers who provide practical and strategic legal advice to assist some of Victoria's most vulnerable people.  You will build strong relationships with the department's child protection teams and the clients they support.

Pivotal to your success in this challenging yet fulfilling role, the ideal candidate will possess demonstrable skills in the following key areas;

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to forge relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders and clients at all levels.
  • Demonstrated capacity to analyse legal and factual issues and provide factual issues and provide practical legal solutions. 
  • Admission or eligibility for admission, to practise as a Barrister or Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria.
