Position Summary:

  • Join the Multidisciplinary Centre (MDC) – Bendigo location
  • Enhance the lives of child victim/survivors of sexual abuse
  • Dynamic Child Protection Program - North Division

The Child Protection Program within the North Division assumes statutory responsibility under the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 to provide child protection services to vulnerable children and their families.

The Multidisciplinary Centre (MDC) enables a specialist response to sexual offences and child sexual abuse from a single location.

Child Protection Practitioners located in the MDC work collaboratively with specialist professionals in an integrated, multidisciplinary context providing safety, support and access to justice for child victims/survivors of sexual abuse.

A unique opportunity currently exists to join this dynamic team, located in the MDC in Bendigo, in the capacity of Advanced Child Protection Practitioner (CPP4).

Practitioners will work in conjunction with specialist professionals to develop interventions in the best interest of the child, support non-offending parents to understand the child´s experience of abuse and ultimately work with families to enable long-term and sustainable change.
