Position Summary:

Program Adviser


Located within the North Division, the Adviser, Aboriginal Engagement, supports the implementation of programs at a local, catchment or other defined level, based on sound program knowledge, using a population health or knowledge of health systems and planning approaches, addressing departmental and divisional health priorities.


This position is an opportunity for a person with knowledge of the health program and planning environment and relationship management skills to support health system improvement and partnerships. 


Are you


  • Aboriginal and/ or Torres Strait Islander person with skills and experience in engaging with communities to achieve health outcomes?
  • Committed to improving health and wellbeing of Aboriginal children, young people, families and communities?
  • Capable of building strong relationships across an organisation to build capability to work in culturally safe and responsive ways?
  • A person with knowledge and experience of implementing health policy initiatives and program development in the Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal sector?
