Position Summary:


Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer, the Business Manager will work with the Executive Assistant to ensure the smooth running of the Office of the Chief Communications Officer, so the Chief Communications Officer is enable to effectively provide support to the Communications and Media Branch, the Secretary and their offices.


They will supervise and support the Executive Assistant in their duties, providing authoritative and strategic advice on a broad range of issues; drives coordination and focus on delivery of branch priorities and provides executive support and counsel to the Chief Communications Officer.


When required, and as agreed by the Chief Communications Officer, they will provide leadership, surge support and resources to other policy portfolios to ensure effective communications services can be delivered by the Branch during emergency, crisis and peak periods.


In addition, they will be required to collaborate with other teams across the Branch to deliver integrated business support.
