Position Summary:


The Senior Policy Officer in the Intergovernmental Relations (Human Services) Social Policy Team provides strategic analysis and advice on national policy issues in the human services portfolio; engages across the department and government, and with the Commonwealth and other jurisdictions; negotiates intergovernmental agreements; and provides support to a range of governance groups including cross-jurisdictional Ministerial meetings.




You will be required to: analyse and coordinate complex information; liaise with, negotiate with, and influence key stakeholders; write succinct and high-quality materials on complex issues; and be pro-active in developing strategic solutions and resolving issues as they arise.
